Pierre Desangles
Born in 1994, Pierre Desangles began playing the piano at the age of 9. He studied at the Lille Conservatoire in the class of Alain Raës and then at the Saint-Maur-des-Fossés Conservatoire in the class of Fernando Rossano.
In 2014, Pierre moved to Cleveland (USA) to study for a year with the pianist Antonio Pompa-Baldi.
Returning to Paris in 2015, he continued his studies at the CRR in the class of Romain Descharmes, then joined the class of Michel Dalberto and Claire-Marie Leguay at the CNSMD de Paris, while taking regular lessons with pianist Gisèle Magnan.
After obtaining his Bachelor's degree in piano, he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in the class of Roger Muraro and Isabelle Dubuis.
Passionate about chamber music, in 2018 he founded the Duo Athos with Florian Pons. They are currently pursuing a Master's degree in chamber music at the CNSMD in the class of Claire Désert and Ami Flammer.
He was a finalist in the Flame competition in Paris and won 3rd prize at the Montrond-Les-Bains competition in the Grand prix jeunes talents category and 1st prize at the Concours international pianissima.
Pierre takes part in various festivals in the United States, where he receives advice from Douglas Weeks, Vassily Primakov, Stefan Milenkovich...
