The magic of classical music in the east of France
la magie de la musique classique dans le grand est

Five pianists who met at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) and a cellist who met at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Brussels founded the Association La Mélopée in 2024. Their aim was to contribute to the access and development of musical culture in France by organising events in addition to their current activities as artists or teachers: concerts, mediation, educational activities, etc. They want to participate in a new way in the musical life of France, in order to bring to France the classical music that inspires them.

The common thread that runs through both festivals is the desire to make the quality of the concerts and the artists presented the cornerstone of our identity. In addition to this requirement, in both cases we want to enhance the concerts with an event-driven aspect that opens up the relationship between the artists and the audience.

The saulnois festival

Classical music is too beautiful not to be shared as widely as possible, and we are deeply committed to making it accessible to everyone. This festival is the fruit of our shared dream: to create a musical event in places close to our hearts, where history and heritage provide the perfect backdrop for a truly special artistic experience.

We are thrilled to welcome you to Lorraine, and more specifically to the Saulnois region—the birthplace of Jonathan Fournel, a rising star of French piano on the international stage. In the spirit of sharing, our festival seeks to spotlight classical music each year, presenting exceptional musicians in chamber music concerts.
Join us from May 2 to 4, 2025, at La Délivrance in Dieuze and the Salle des Carmes in Vic-sur-Seille for a weekend of unforgettable performances.

cultural action

Music is a treasure to be shared, and it's essential for our project that the events of this weekend in Saulnois radiate outwards, offering musical highlights to the widest possible audience. To this end, we are working in partnership with "concerts de poche", with whom we are organizing music discovery and mediation workshops. For more information about these workshops, partnership proposals or cultural action projects, please don't hesitate to contact us.
