Closing Concert - Organ and Trumpet
The great French musician Romain Leleu is one of the few solo trumpet players in the world. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, as well as at the Musikhochschule in Karlsruhe, and a laureate of numerous international competitions, he was named “Instrumental Revelation” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique in 2009. Since then, he has performed all over the world. This versatile artist with an eclectic universe is the founder of the Romain Leleu Sextet as well as the Leleu Brothers duo with his brother, tuba player Thomas Leleu.
For this Organ and Trumpet concert, he joins for the first time the young and brilliant Alma Bettencourt, a highly sought-after organist, recently a winner of the Montréal International Competition, and currently completing her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris.
These two artists have prepared for you a rich and original program made up of works by Jeremiah Clarke, Jean-Sébastien Bach, Maurice Duruflé, Jean-Michel Damase, Jean-Baptiste Robin, César Franck, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Amilcare Ponchielli.
